Japan Media Arts Festival Call for Entries_

A major competition for works made using digital technologies, sponsored by the national government's Agency for Cultural Affairs. Entries are accepted in four divisions: manga, animation, entertainment (video games, etc.) and art. Entries may be professional or amateur and independent or commercial productions.

In divisions such as Art, Entertainment and Manga, they are seeking applications for works using new media technologies such as computer, video, and the Internet. Regarding animation and manga, not only digital works but also works using existing methods are welcomed.

The call is open until 26 September, 2008.
